Chandamani shines in State level girls archery meet

Chandamani Munda emerged as the most successful competitor, securing two first positions in the 2nd State Level Girls Archery Tournament, which was jointly organised by by Odisha Archery Association and OCL India Ltd at Bisinahakani Govt School ground in Tangi, Cuttack on January 5 and 6, 2017.

More than 40 archers from 10 districts participated in the two-day meet, which was inaugurated by Cuttack Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra in the presence of Odisha Archery Association president Dr Ajit Tripathy and secretary Sradhananda Das.

Cuttack District Welfare Officer Shesadev Behera and Bisinahakani Govt High School Headmistress Suprava Parida gave away the cash prizes in the closing ceremony. Archers securing first, second and third positions were given cash prizes of Rs 2,000, Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 respectively.
